Cornbread Dressing from Yesteryear

1 quart day old bread crumbs
1 quart crumbled cornbread
1 quart crumbled biscuits
1 cup chopped, green onions
1 cup chopped celery
1 and 1/2 teaspoon sage
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
6 hard boiled eggs, chopped (optional)
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)
1/2 cup soft butter
2 eggs, beaten
2 to 4 cups of turkey or chicken broth

Combine all ingredients, except butter, beaten eggs and broth. Toss well. Add broth and butter. Add eggs. Mix well. Use to stuff neck and cavity of turkey OR cook separately in a baking dish. Makes 10 to 12 cups. Bake until brown.

All my recipes are ones that my family and/or friends have enjoyed, usually for many years.

In this and all of the old recipes I share, I'm listing ingredients and directions just as they were written years ago.

Enjoy!!!
